Dr. Shefali Balsari-Shah was Associate Professor and Head, Department of English, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai. She continues there as Guest Faculty, and also conducts workshops and talks in other forums. While her doctoral dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania was on Shakespeare, her academic interests extend beyond Literature to Film, Popular Culture, and Creative Writing. She has published critical editions of ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ and ‘The Admirable Crichton’, and writes on occasion for various publications. At times she is an editor too: most recently, she edited a coffee-table book, ‘Indigenius Artists of India’.
