Radha S. Menon

Actor, Canada

Recipient of the City of Hamilton 2020 Arts Innovation Award & 2016 Theatre Award, animal fanatic and multidisciplinary artist, Menon began performing in her youth. Her plays and films have been presented at festivals in Canada, the U.S. and U.K. Activist, educator, filmmaker and founder of Red Betty Theatre, Menon holds an MFA in Creative Writing (University of Guelph) and was Artist-in-Residence at McMaster University’s School of Arts (2019/20). Plays include Rukmini’s Gold (Winner of Toronto Fringe New Play Contest 2015 & Hamilton Fringe Critics Choice Award 2015), Ganga’s Ganja, Blackberry & Sita’s Revenge. Finalist for Cayle Chernin Media Award 2019, Menon’s magic realism film, The Sail Tree is in post production, while film La Toccata tours film festivals worldwide.
