Arshia Sattar has a Ph.D. in classical Indian literatures from the University of Chicago. She works with epic, myth and the story telling traditions of South Asia, most closely with the Valmiki Ramayana. Her most recent publications include Maryada: Searching for Dharma in the Ramayana and The Mahabharata for Children. She teaches classical Indian literatures here and abroad and writes frequently on books for various publications.
